Brush Fire Shuts Down I-76 East In Philadelphia: Officials

Authorities responded to a brush fire on the railroad tracks near Interstate 76 in Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon, May 21.

Around 3 p.m., the city's Office of Emergency Management said I-76 was closed from Exit 342 (Girard Avenue/Philadelphia Zoo) and Exit 343 (Spring Garden Street).

All lanes were reopened for traffic by 4:30 p.m., but drivers should expect residual delays, OEM said.
